This restaurant is an absolute insider tip! The view and the ambience are phenomenal. You can enjoy the view of the lake in a cozy, quiet atmosphere. The service is really good and the food we had is absolutely recommendable. My best pol roti with curry in Sri Lanka 🤤

A Hidden Gem by Koggala Lake I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kola, a beautiful cafe located on the border of the serene Koggala Lake, right in front of Cinnamon Island. The breathtaking view immediately sets the tone for an unforgettable experience. The calm ambiance and fresh air truly make this spot a haven for relaxation and peace. We had their rice and curry, and the prawn curry, in particular, was nothing short of heavenly, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. The young and cheerful owner added a warm, personal touch to the visit, providing exceptional hospitality that made us feel right at home. Kola is undoubtedly a hidden gem. Fabulous place! Very calm, great vibe. Charming owners and managers who really care. Big garden with fruit trees and grass - would be great for a special event! Breezy, with a fantastic view out to undeveloped areas. Also boat tours, attention to sustainability. Would be a great place to watch the rain… I had a grilled fish - really good!
