Araliya Holiday Villa – Kataragama

I recently stayed at Araliya Rest in Kataragama and had a very pleasant experience. It is a nice, clean, and budget-friendly place that offers great convenience if you are visiting nearby religious sites. The location is ideal just a short distance to Kiri Vehera, Kataragama Devalaya, and Sella Kataragama, making it very easy to plan your visits without spending much time on travel. The environment of the guest house is calm, safe, and family-friendly. I particularly appreciated that it is suitable for those travelling with children. There is a small play area with swings where kids can enjoy themselves while the adults relax. The atmosphere around the property is peaceful, which adds to the comfort of your stay. The owner of the guest house is very friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to guide us to places where we could find good and healthy meals around the town. This was particularly useful as we were travelling with children and wanted safe and quality food options. The room rates are very reasonable, making this an excellent choice for budget-conscious travellers. Depending on your preference, you can choose between AC and non-AC rooms, and the rooms are well-maintained. Additionally, meal preparation facilities are available if you wish to cook your own meals. Overall, Araliya Rest is a great option for anyone visiting Kataragama whether as a family, a group of pilgrims, or even solo travellers. I would highly recommend it and look forward to staying there again.

Rooms are okay but bathrooms are not that good. Not cleaned very well and the staff is not much friendly. We had breakfast there. Their food was good worth the price. Other than the bathrooms it's a good place for that price.

Average quality Rest house in Kataragama. Not so expensive. Quality of bathrooms and water pressure must be upgraded. Cleanliness Average. Large parking area. Friendly owner.

It is at a cheaper room. Food can be ordered and made. In addition to renting rooms, payment must be made for orders.

Very bad condition room's & barthrooms. Staff are not friendly.
