Amarya Resort Bentota

There should be zero star rating available There only have 2 staff The owner and one old man.they both are arrogant and not considering about guests.they thinking this is only 3 star so that resort should be like that.I like to tell the owner if we paying even Rs.1 that’s also money.and that both always watching us even we are in the pool.that amarya don’t have any privacy.and that’s not a Villa type.don’t see only fotos just check the reviews.we didn’t check the reviews if we check that we not choosing this amarya for sure. worst experience,Not at all good for family, Only positive part is the size of the room. No mirrors in the room, No hangers in the wardrobe,No chair in room for sitting,no locks to the bathroom,wash room or for wardrobe. The water in the washroom flows into the room itself The hotel's food was nothing short of a culinary nightmare. The tasteless and poorly prepared dishes left a lot to be desired.The kitchen was an absolute disaster. It was evident that hygiene was not a priority,we found mosquito worm in water dispenser.we informed that but they neglecting that.they don’t give basic needs for guests. the food isn't tasty, not clean, they don't give the promised food menu.we had mixed rice but there only had fried fish.there is no any other meat added.hygiene is 0+ I strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice and seek alternative accommodations.don’t go to this poorly maintaining place.

There should be zero star retting available, worst experience, rooms are cosy smelly, 3 rooms checked all like the same. Staff doesn’t know what to do. Lots of mosquitoes ( no mosquito liquid available) Not at all good for family. 1 st room AC faulty 2 nd room AC not working properly etc…. No chair in room for sitting, outside all mosquitoes. Be ready to smell furniture smell all night if you book this. And also mosquitoes coil smell.

Location: Not good(not recommended). You can't go outside without any assistance of locals during evening and daytime nearby dogs might not allow. No shops for any essential things nearby which is walkable. Rooms: Only positive part is the size of the room. No mirrors in the room, No hangers in the wardrobe, Water seepage smell will be there in the rooms as well as fungus, bathroom has no proper drainage and water leakage was there. Room was not cleaned properly as spider webs were there. Kettle also was not cleaned. No Tv in the rooms. Service: Service is not good. Our bathroom had a small light, we hardly could see anything during the night. When we asked the staff, the reply was: "Why you need more light in bathroom?" Dinner was not good.(We did not have dinner after having it in 1st day, had it outside even if it was added in our booking). Breakfast was good. Overall, not a recommended one until the rooms are maintained properly and service is kept up to the mark.

If at all there was a no star option, I would happily give it. Never in my life I have felt in-secured or felt so threatened. The staffs were too rude and unprofessional. The issue started when we questioned them why there were no locking mechanism or Brocken unfixed locks in the bathrooms. The response they gave is “since you are of same family, that shouldn’t be an issue” also they added that an Indian family that stabled before us had broken the locks. However, upon examination we found out none of the rooms had proper locking system. The care takers looked so untrustworthy, threatening and demeaning. We had dinner and breakfast. We found out there was an insect in the juice. When we confronted them , they were so agitated and behaved very rudely. I would never recommend this resort to any one. Don’t fall for the photos, that are far from reality.
