Deduru Cabana Nature Resort Kurunegala

I visited yesterday. I was really disappointed. The location of the resort is very beautiful and peaceful, but sadly the overall experience was disappointing. The service is very poor, with staff showing little attention to guests’ needs. The food was not good at all – often served cold, lacking taste, and with very limited variety. For a resort of this standard, I expected much better quality in both service and dining. While the surroundings are nice, the bad service and poor food make it hard to recommend this place.

I visited Deduru Kabana Nature Resort for a day out. The location is beautiful, especially with the view of the Deduru Oya river and the small dam nearby. One edge of the resort is right by the river, which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious, with a buffet available and a good variety. We really enjoyed the meal. There's also a playground, and we had fun playing cricket there. However, the service was average. We had to wait quite a long time to get the staff's attention, which was a bit disappointing. Also, the swimming pool was not in great condition - the water was not very clear and seemed poorly filtered. Parking is available, which is convenient if you're driving. Overall, it’s a nice place with good food and views, but the service and pool maintenance could be improved.

A great place to visit and enjoy! We had a lovely time, thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff — especially Mr. Lahiru, who stood out for his helpful and kind manner. The atmosphere was perfect for a family function, and the food was delicious and full of flavor. Highly recommend this place for gatherings and pecial occasions.

The place is good for one day trips but not for longer periods. Service is v poor. We were there during the Sinhalese new year for three nights on full board basis. We wanted to change the menu but it was never delivered. Couldn’t speak to the manager as he was avoiding us. Will never recommend this place to anyone.
