Dumbanaa cottage Ranagala

Calm and relax environment with misty mountains. Elegant view to witness especially in the mornings.Rooms are clean and comfortable enough with comfy bunk beds. There were 2 single beds and 6 bunk beds(all 8). Washrooms were in a satisfactory level. Hospitality was great. Meals were quite fine, neither compliments nor complaints on that. A lot of leeches were all around. Have to have precautions to avoid them. Overall, a good place to visit. 8/10

Dumbana Cottage – such a peaceful and beautiful place..... The view was honestly amazing. Everywhere you look, it's just green hills and mountains. We spent so much time on that net platform just enjoying the fresh air and scenery – it was so relaxing...... The food was really good too!!!!! Tasted homemade and fresh, and every meal made us feel super satisfied. The service was great , the people were really kind and helpful. They made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed without being too much....! If you want a quiet, cozy place to relax and enjoy nature, I totally recommend Dumbana Cottage. I’d love to go again.

Lovely nature, where far away from the technology and busy schedule. Wonderful place to visit, calm and peaceful ambience. Great local authentic home grown food dishes which can be found in the area. No electricity no network coverage, but not a problem at all. If you willing to experience the nature's beauty and many more it offers. Highly recommend this place.

The views are absolutely stunning, and it’s the best spot to disconnect from the outside world and enjoy a true adventure. I noticed a lot of bad reviews, but here’s my honest take—this is not a luxury stay, so don’t expect high-end facilities. It’s a simple cottage with breathtaking views, fresh air, and an authentic nature experience. The adventure starts right from the arrival, as they provide a jeep ride to reach the place since personal vehicles can’t make it there. One of the highlights was the lack of mobile network, which allowed us to have an amazing time with the boys, free from distractions. The food was delicious, and the two staff members were super friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend this place for those seeking adventure, a break from technology, and a chance to connect with nature. It’s a unique experience worth trying!

One of the Greatest cottages I've ever visited. There are few challenges you have to face but it is totally worth it. If you are not travelling by a 4X4 or bikes, you have to park your vehicle and walk around 1.5Km. There's a waterfall on the way, few places to take a bath. There's no signal for any network. Be prepared for it. No electricity is there, they will turn the generator on up to 10.00PM. We only needed it for charging phones and stuff. Rest of the experience is one of a kind. The food was fresh and delicious. It was way more than we expected. Then the view from the tent. Amazing. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again.
