Lavendish Wild Safari Hotel

We three families stayed one night. The location is ok, but old buildings have low-maintenance bathrooms. Bad smell inside all bathrooms. Food was really not recommended. Lack of variety of foods in the buffet. No fresh food at all. Rotten Pineapple was served in the buffet. Bad smell in bread slices. Raw green grams in breakfast. So many food issues.Not value for money. We received watery coffee when we requested a coffee.unfortunately menu also not matching, Kiribath didn’t have milk at all.

This is a perfect hotel to stay at when visiting Wasgamua national park - which is famous for it's elephants and extensive bird life. It has a lovely pool, great views of the lake & knuckles mountain range and the staff are very welcoming. You can order either western or Sri Lankan breakfast and they also do meals in their restaurant.

Lovely hotel facing the lake with easy access to Wasgamuwa Safari. Beautiful and clean pool, small but good Sri Lankan buffet, and friendly, helpful staff.

Nice place to stay . It offers a very calm and relaxing location .Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is friendly .food was tasty 💙

Stayed there for two nights and did Wasgamuwa Safari for a full day! Rooms were good. Towels had stains, but we don't use hotel towels anyway, so it didn't bother us! The Safari though, was best I have ever had in my life, with our driver NIHAAL. We got see about 30 elephants so close, 200 deers, peacocks, and many other birds!! It felt very private safari as nobody was there half the day and Nihaal was very well aware with park roads and ELEPHANTS!
