UD Garden Hotel katharagama

We discovered this place unexpectedly when the hotel we originally booked in Katharagama didn’t meet our expectations. Thankfully, the receptionist here was incredibly welcoming and helpful, and she managed to arrange rooms that perfectly suited our needs. The property is neat, clean, and very well-maintained. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the food was absolutely delicious—far beyond what we expected. Overall, it turned out to be a wonderful place to stay, and we’re really glad we found it. Highly recommended.

UD Garden Hotel is honestly a hidden gem for anyone looking for a budget friendly getaway. Every rupee spent here feels completely worth it. We booked our stay a week ago for a family trip and were genuinely surprised by how amazing everything turned out to be. Some reviews mention issues with customer service, but in our experience, everyone was so friendly and helpful. The only exception was the lady who answered the phone, but it didn’t really affect our stay because the rest of the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. (But that lady was unprofessional. She was the only negative part in there. She should be replaced. Management should seriuosly consider replacing her.) We didn’t try the meals at the hotel, but all the other facilities were really good. The rooms were clean, cozy, and spacious enough for our family. The surroundings are beautiful, green, and photogenic, making it a perfect spot for family photos and just relaxing in nature.What we loved most was how peaceful and scenic the place felt. We spent hours just walking around, taking pictures, and enjoying quality family time. It felt like a perfect little escape from the usual hustle. Overall, we had an amazing stay and made some lovely memories. We will definitely be coming back to UD Garden Hotel for our next family getaway.

I had a wonderful stay at UD Garden, Kataragama. The service was excellent, the rooms were very clean, and the food was delicious. For the price, it’s definitely great value. I can confidently recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly stay.

Location was 100% nice and calm. Rooms Good but some bad smell came from bathroom. Foods - we ordered mixed rice, sea food rice and chicken pasta .Rice was not good but pasta was good. And rice also not worth for the price. Staff and Service also good. In the restaurant service is not good. The waiters was taken too much time to serve plates. we sas waiting too much time to have some ketchup and Chili paste after receive the foods. Actually there’s no waiters to handle too much crowd and also the waiters forgot what we ordered and we had to say that two or three times.
