1. Introduction
Vacation.lk ("we", "us", "platform") is an online advertising and discovery platform for hotels, villas, and accommodations in Sri Lanka. By using our website, you agree to these Terms.
2. Our Role - We Are Only An Advertising Platform
2.1 Vacation.lk DOES NOT collect any booking payments from customers. We do not own, operate, or manage any hotels listed on our platform.
2.2 We only provide a service to advertise and introduce hotels to travelers. We connect you with the hotel.
2.3 The entire business transaction, including pricing, room availability, and service quality, is solely between the Guest and the Hotel.
3. Bookings, Payments & PayPal Facility
3.1 No Payment to Vacation.lk: When you make a booking request through Vacation.lk, you are sending an inquiry/booking request to the hotel. You do NOT pay Vacation.lk.
3.2 Direct Payment to Hotel: All payments for your stay must be paid directly to the hotel, at the property or via the payment method provided by the hotel.
3.3 PayPal Payment Facilitation: For convenience, after your booking is confirmed by the hotel, our system allows you to pay the hotel via PayPal. In this case, Vacation.lk acts ONLY as a technical facilitator to transfer your payment to the hotel. The money goes to the hotel. We do not take a commission from the guest and we do not hold the guest's money as our income. Any transaction fee charged by PayPal is borne by the parties as per PayPal's policy.
3.4 Booking Confirmation: A booking is only confirmed when you receive a confirmation directly from the hotel, not just from Vacation.lk.
4. Cancellation, Refund & No-Show Policy
4.1 100% Handled by the Hotel: Since all payments are made directly to the hotel, all Cancellations, Refunds, and No-Show policies are handled directly and solely by the respective hotel.
4.2 Vacation.lk is NOT responsible for any refunds. If you wish to cancel, you must contact the hotel directly using the contact details provided in your booking confirmation.
4.3 We strongly advise you to check the hotel's cancellation policy with the hotel before you confirm your booking.
5. Hotel Listings & Accuracy
5.1 Information, photos, prices, and amenities are provided by the hotels. While we try to keep it accurate, we do not guarantee it.
5.2 Prices shown (e.g., "From LKR...") are indicative and provided by the hotel and may change. Please confirm the final price with the hotel.
6. Affiliate Program - Share & Earn Rs.250
6.1 This program is for our registered promoters.
6.2 You need a top-up balance of Rs. 500+ to be eligible.
6.3 You earn Rs.250 when a guest you referred completes a stay that was booked through your link.
6.4 Earnings are valid only if the hotel confirms that the guest stayed and paid the hotel directly. Self-bookings and fraudulent bookings will be cancelled and the account will be banned.
7. Limitation of Liability
Since we only advertise hotels and do not handle your money or your stay, Vacation.lk will not be liable for:
- Any dispute regarding payment, refund, or cancellation between you and the hotel.
- Quality of rooms, service, or any injury/loss at the hotel property.
- Overbooking or denial of check-in by the hotel.
Your sole remedy for any service issue is with the hotel management.
8. User Conduct
You agree not to make fake bookings, post false reviews, or misuse the PayPal payment facility.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
